"The Photographers" Present at the Association of Bridal Consultants
We are honored to have shared our passion yesterday evening with the top bridal consultants and vendors in the Portland area. As the featured speakers we were given the opportunity to showcase our unique approach to wedding photography.
A very special thanks to the staff at The Museum of Oregon Territory for hosting the ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants) gathering! Hat's off to all of the vendors and speakers who enriched the meeting with their fine talents. Cheers!

Holly & Lynn Naumcheff - breath taking!
Holly's life long dream to be married in Portland's largest cathedral (Saint Mary's), ride a horse and buggy through the historic Pearl district toward the waterfront, and board the Spirit of Portland for a reception was stunning. Both Jos and Jaysun teamed up to photograph this dynamic love story. Having two lead photographers simultaneously capture their wedding was a perfect fit to fully capture the depth of this story. At one moment Jos sees an opportunity to climb up a fire escape and shoot down on the two kissing near the horse and buddy while the next moment Jaysun is on the back of the carriage capturing a timeless embrace. Timeless moments at the St. Mary's Cathedral
Brenda and Jason got married in the St. Mary's Cathedral in NW Portland. Their ceremony had a full mass with Mexican wedding traditions filled with blessings of Lazo, Aras, cricifix, Virgin Mary. A soloist sang an enchanting version of Ava Maria that filled the cathedral with rich feelings of love. Following the ceremony Brenda and Jason enjoyed walking through the Pearl District and along Broadway. They were warmly greeted by a full house of family, friends and acoustic music in the Portland City Grill at the top of the Bank Corp Tower in downtown Portland.

A little After Hours Fun at "The Photographers" Studio
This was shot at our studio in the Towne Storage Building in Portland, Oregon. We have a 1200 sqft Warehouse loft space where we do all of our Movie Poster Shoots,Bridal Fashion Sessions, and numerous other commercial photography projects. We were just fooling around and got this shot.

Father Daughter Moment
This was a tender moment just before the father and daughter walked down the isle. The moment was as bright as the light falling through the door. This is where everything falls into a timeless feeling and Love's face arrives. It's hard to concentrate during these moments because the energy draws you in, sometimes takes over," Jos said.

Danielle and Geoff Lifestyle & Engagement Session on NW 23rd
Danielle and Geoff had a blast walking around their old neighborhood of NW 23rd, where they first met. We had fun drinking martinis and eating ice cream on a sunny spring afternoon in Portland. They will be celebrating their wedding at Grey Gables on June 15th, 2007.

Andy and Becky celebrated their wedding at Timberline on May 8 and 9, 2007, with their close family and friends. We would like to thank you, Andy and Becky, for an amazing two days. Jessica & Keith walk along the industrial streets of Portland for their engagement photos
Jessica and Keith are getting married at The Abernethy Center on August 3rd, 2007. Jessica and Keith chose the Industrial Walk for their engagement session. Spontaneity and action is a large part of their personality as the photos express. Jessica and Keith jumped up on old window frames, walked along rail road tracks, kissed in private corners, and fell into timeless moments with lots of laughter. Jos Smith was the photographer for this session.

Joanna and Mike shared some intimate moments in the Edgefield's vinyards before their reception. The overcast sky offered perfect diffused light along the rich green background and an old white fence. Joanna and Mike couldn't have asked for a better day. Mike and Joanna moved on to their reception for a full night of swing dancing with friends and family.

Life Style Engagement Shoot with Joanna and Mike
Joanna and Mike are getting married on May 6th, 2007 in The Old Laurelhurst Church at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale Oregon. During their engagement photo shoot Jos encouraged them to do a "life style" shoot along the vintage streets of North Mississippi street in North Portland. After enjoying the finest Stumptown coffee lattes at The Albina Press they walked along streets simply "being themselves." Jos switched between 6 different lenses capturing a number of diverse angles using the imagery of texturized old walls, old signs, cobb backdrops, and extreme angles of the street shot from the top of a fire escape. "Joanna and Mike are so naturally in the moment," says Jos, "I can't help but capture their authenticity, their love inspires me."

We Love Shooting at Timberline Lodge! It's one of the Top Destination Wedding Locations in the United States and these images of Karen and Jimmy's Wedding give us all a sampler why. "Mr. & Mrs" Kristin & Dave Ortner
Kristin and Dave Ortner held their wedding at Camas Meadows Golf Course in Camas, Washington. This wedding required 2 lead photographers covering many transitional moments, from getting ready in two separate houses, detail shots of everything, the ceremony at the church, the limo ride to the golf course, shooting the bridal party along golf course to the elegant reception dance floor. Kristin and Dave's engagement photos were showcased in a slideshow at the reception on a large 10'x10' screen entertaining the guests. Congratulations to Angela & Larry
Angela and Larry Johnson held a gorgeous wedding reception at the Hotel Vintage Plaza in downtown Portland. The charisma, charm, and authenticity of this couple is breath taking. Following their wedding they honeymooned in Tuscany Italy for 5 weeks. We plan on photographing them next year along the Italian Riviera for their anniversary. :) Cheers to Angela and Larry! Our VegNews-Nationally Featured Vintage Hawaiian Themed Wedding
We were honored and excited to hear that Erin and Jesse's wedding, shot in San Fransisco on August 6, 2006 was going to be featured in VegNews, one of the worlds most recongized Vegitarian and Vegan Lifestyle magizines. Erin is an events coordinator and Jesse is a vegan personal chef. Their passions, personalities and love literally danced to life at this amazing celebration. Thanks Erin and Jesse you rock!
